K-SHORE Programme

Our Vision

The SHORE program aims to establish a phased national scale mechanism using a common approach for coordinating and financing sustainable Coastal Zone Management through:
(i)
Blue Resources

Efficient use of blue resources, improved ecosystem productivity and enhanced carbon sequestration;

(ii)
Circular Economy

Investments in plastic value chains to create economic opportunities and job creations for coastal communities including women;

(iii)
Human Capital

Skill development to improve the human capital in coastal communities;

(iv)
Coastal Governance

Capacity building of state agencies to mainstream Coastal Zone Management into coastal governance; and

(v)
Knowledge Exchange

Set up a national level knowledge exchange platform across coastal states to learn from and promote replication of successful models.
